Proposal / Technical Writer

Cooper Thomas, LLC, an information management consulting firm, seeks a Proposal/Technical Writer for our growing business. The qualified candidate will have a proven track record and in-depth knowledge of healthcare and IT issues in the federal sector. You will coordinate, manage, write and edit proposals, and will also write and edit other technical documentation and deliverables.

Successful candidates must have a demonstrated track record of writing and producing successful proposals in response to federal and commercial RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs.

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and qualities.

    Skills:
  • Exceptional writing skills
  • Ability to coordinate input from several contributors and produce high-quality text in a short time frame
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Track record of producing winning proposals for federal healthcare agencies—VA experience is particularly competitive
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Outstanding computer skills

  • Works well with others, maintaining a professional and positive attitude
  • Enthusiastic about learning new skills and willing to ask questions in order to learn

    Applicants must have:
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Six years work experience is required. Ten (10) years practical experience in a relevant field will waive educational requirements.
